OTHERSIDE

You don't need a polished idea to be here. Otherside is a place to experiment with what feels new or unresolved. A collective lab shaped by people who question, observe, and make in their own rhythm.

The project grows through a quiet chain reaction: one person tries something, someone else pays attention, and a new direction opens.

We live inside systems shaped by capitalism, speed culture, and the quiet expectation to stay efficient, certain, silent, and productive at all times. Under those conditions, reflection becomes a luxury and experimentation becomes risky and intimidating.

Otherside is an intentional counterpoint: a space where imperfect attempts matter, where curiosity has room, and where you can follow a thread without knowing where it leads - even if you're not sure you'll agree with where it ends up.

Otherside is built through collaboration. It holds many different ways of making and thinking: writing, sound & music production, visual work, performance, creative coding, research, podcasting, and the full design + development of the interactive web platform behind it.

Through projects, questions, half-ideas, ongoing practices, experiments, sound, visuals, text, performance, coding, research threads… anything that feels like a part of your creative self.

The project grows through a quiet chain reaction: one person tries something, someone else pays attention, and a new direction opens.

You don't need a polished idea to participate. Otherside is a space to explore what feels new or unresolved.

It's a lab for trying things out without the pressure to know exactly what they are yet. Even if all you have is a hunch, we encourage you to reach out. We'll find a way for you to contribute in whatever form feels right for you.

Otherside is a lab in metaphor and in practice, a network where bottom-up ways of thinking and creating can meet without hierarchy or gatekeeping. If you carry an idea, a question, or simply a need to explore, you're welcome to try it here.

Email us at hi@other-side.net or via Instagram, and we'll find a way to weave your project, practice, or perspective into this project.

You can support Otherside by joining our next lab, sharing our The Others Vol. II podcast series, or buying the magazine, which helps us keep the project independent and create new explorations.

You can nominate someone from within (or outside of) your own constellation at https://other-side.net/nominate.

You do not. We intend to expand this initiative beyond Berlin.
